More Than Just Handshakes.
How we turned a conference ice-breaker into a relationship building interactive adventure.
The Brief:
The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) hosted its annual Europe, MEPA & South Asia Presidents’ Meeting in Berlin, bringing together current and elected chapter presidents from across the globe.
This influential gathering serves as a platform for training, sharing best practices, building relationships, and shaping strategies to grow entrepreneurial communities worldwide.
EO asked us to design and facilitate a short but impactful conference icebreaker activity to kick off the event. The goal? Create a high-energy experience that pushed attendees beyond their comfort zones, helping them form meaningful connections with as many new people as possible.
The Solution:
We developed Connection Quest – an interactive, conference icebreaker that turned a quick networking session into a memorable adventure.
-
Dynamic Challenges – 20 photo and video challenges ensured instant collaboration. Highlights included creating secret handshakes, starting a conga line, and even recreating The Evolution of Man.
-
Personalised Experience – The app was fully customised with EO’s branding and event themes, ensuring the activity felt like a natural extension of the conference.
-
Encouraging Interaction – Randomised teams encouraged diverse connections, and challenges required collaboration with new groups and teams, maximising engagement across the room.
The Result:
The EO Connection Quest was a huge success.
-
Overwhelmingly Positive Feedback – Both organisers and attendees praised the experience, with many noting how the activity helped them form authentic connections beyond business networking.
-
Stronger Community Bonds – Delegates left the session with not only new contacts but genuine friendships and an openness to collaborate throughout the rest of the Presidents’ Meeting.
By transforming a standard conference icebreaker into a high-energy, interactive adventure, we helped EO build stronger connections within its global leadership community.
