How All Virtual Game Shows Work

Your on-screen host kicks things off with an electric intro to get teams in the game-show spirit. Expect instructions, banter, and maybe even a dramatic countdown.

What is a virtual game show?
Our virtual game shows are hosted via our award-winning app and a video conferencing platform of your choice. Much like a real-life pub quiz or trivia night but instead of being in a public space you and your team can take part from whatever location suits you best.
How does a virtual game show work on the day?
Teams will be briefed by one of our On-Screen Hosts then break off into smaller groups (and breakout rooms) to ensure maximum engagement. Our expert hosts will be on standby throughout the activity to support teams, encourage communication and provide a fun virtual wrap-up at the end of all virtual game shows.
How do we get set up?
We will provide you with step-by-step instructions ahead of the day. Simply download our Mobile Adventures app to your device. Then scan the QR code we provide you with. It’s that easy!
What do we need to take part in a virtual game show?
To take part in one of our virtual game shows like Let’s Get Quizzical, you’ll need a couple of things. Access to a laptop with video conferencing software such as Zoom. A smart device with our Mobile Adventures app. Lastly, a stable internet connection.
How many people take part in a virtual game show?
Our virtual game shows are made for any group size. Whether your group is made up of 5, 50 or 5,000 people we’ve got you covered!
What is the maximum team size for a virtual game show?
We recommend 4-6 people per team for any of our virtual game shows.
How long does your virtual game shows last?
Our virtual game shows lasts 75-90 minutes. However, our times are flexible so we can adapt to your needs.
What is the best platform to run a virtual game show?
We prefer to use Zoom but we can work with other platforms
Do Virtual Game Shows provide social interaction?
Yes! All of our virtual activities have been created with social interaction as a priority. Each challenge will encourage teams to spark conversation, work together, have lots of fun, and get social – all virtually and from the safety and comfort of home. Using breakout room functionality which splits groups into small teams, we encourage participants to get social and collaborate in manageable sized groups. We’ve developed our technology to encourage teams to pick a ‘Captain’ or ‘Player’ role prompting them to communicate and agree on a team strategy. Once the game has been loaded, each challenge and task has been designed thoughtfully to encourage each individual to play a role and take part.
Can I include a virtual game show in a meeting?
Yes. It’s common for companies to use virtual team-building activities to kick start meetings, senior strategy days, etc. It’s also common for companies to use virtual events as part of icebreakers before team meetings. Virtual team events & meetings go hand in hand, & team activities are a great way to segue into a team meeting.

Our virtual game shows have been thoughtfully designed to ensure maximum engagement from all participants. Teams will play through a series of rounds and be provided with a series of challenges, tasks and trivia questions. Giving everyone an equal chance to have their moment in the spotlight during the Game Show.
In-Person game shows typically have an On-Site Host. We reserve the in-person quiz shows as a wet weather back-up for any of our in-person treasure hunt activities.
