What is the aim of the game?

Simple – to have fun and get to know your team mebers better.
You also need to earn as many points as possible by completing a range of challenges, questions and fun photo and video challenges! Once you’ve joined the game unlock the challenge hotspots shown on the map to reveal the tasks. The more you do, and the more you get correct, the more points you’ll receive!

How do I load the game onto my device?

Simply download the Mobile Adventures app onto your device. You’ll then be prompted for an access code which will be shared with you by your Event Manager at the start of your activity via video call.

How much mobile data will the game use?

This will vary but the app will generally use between 5-10 MB to load your game depending on your chosen activity. During play, your device will use about 25-50MB of data during the normal course of play.

What happens if my phone runs out of battery?

Whilst most devices will easily last a full game, we strongly recommend that you fully charge your phone before you go out to play. Reduce the screen brightness to save on power too. If your battery is getting low then the app will warn you and if needed you can swap to another device by using the rejoin game pin.

To do this simply load the game on another device, tap the grey cog on the top right-hand corner of the selfie screen and type in your team re-join pin. Enter the game and it will pick up where you left off on the new device – the old device will then be deactivated.

How far will we walk?

Most GPS events involve around 2–4 km of walking, but this varies depending on the venue, the activity and the route your team chooses.

Where do we start?

Your organiser can decide where the group starts and finishes. Make sure to tell everyone where the finish location will be and by what time. If you chose to have an on-screen host, make sure to check / test the AV.

What should we wear?

Dress for comfort and for the weather!

Do all teams complete the same route?

No – the game can be completed in any order and teams make their own decision about which ‘hotspots’ to visit and in which order they complete the tasks.

Who do I contact if I have questions on the day?

During the game you can message the Remote Host or Game Master in-app. Alternativly reach out to your event organizer.

How GPS Events Work at Team Events

Before the Event

Once you’ve booked, we’ll help you choose the perfect location, event duration and hosting option for your group. We’ll plot the GPS hotspots, load any custom branding or questions (if included), and make sure everything is ready for game day. We also provide an Event Information page that you can share with your team to help everyone get ready to take part in the activity.

The Start

On the day, teams of 4-6 gather for a 15-minute race briefing before downloading the app and receiving their mission. We’ll explain how the game works, answer any questions and get everyone ready to compete.

During the Challenge

Teams head out and have 90-minutes to explore the area, completing GPS hotspots packed with trivia, puzzles, photo and video challenges. The aim is simple: score as many points as possible before the clock runs out, with teams free to choose their own route and strategy.

The Wrap-Up

When time’s up, everyone returns and joins the event manager back online for the results. We’ll announce the winners, showcase the live leaderboard and share some of the funniest photos and videos captured during the challenge—usually the highlight of the day!

After the Event

The competition may be over, but the memories live on. You’ll receive access to your event gallery, packed with the photos and videos captured by your teams—perfect for sharing with colleagues and celebrating your event.
