Frequently Asked Questions about On-Screen Hosts
How do we get set up?
We will provide you with step-by-step instructions ahead of the day. Simply download our Mobile Adventures app to your device. Your On-Screen Hosts will run through a short brief before setting the teams off!
How do we know when to start?
You can join the video call 15 minutes fore the start time (provided in your event instructions). The On-Screen Hosts will then set the scene and start the clock.
Can we use MS Teams for the briefing and wrap-up?
Yes you can! You will need to setup the meeting and ensure our on-screen hosts have all the necessary permissions. If you want us to take care of all the initial admin then we would recommend Zoom.
How do we decide who is in which team?
You can divide the group up into smaller teams of 4-6 people in a team. This can be completely random or you can pre-select the teams. Please remember to send us a copy of the team-list before the start.
Do we need to start or end in a conference room?
We do recommend starting and ending in a conference room to ensure everyone can hear the host clearly, but the group can join the video call individually on their own devices or on one device per team.
Does each player need their own device?
One device in each team is enough. Our activities are setup in Captain/Player mode, so if more players want to join on their own devices, they can!
What if we do not want to use our own devices?
With our on-screen host option we do not include iPads for each team. You will need to enquire about On-Site Host availability.
What happens if we encouter technical difficulties during the activity, for example with GPS hotspots or the app itself?
Your on-screen host will be available any time during your activity via the same meeting link that you started with. Your host will be monitoring your teams, scoring challenges and making sure everyone has a smooth experience.
